Hope, compassion, and dedication came to life in Agua Prieta, Sonora, this August, when our team partnered with the Rancho Feliz Charitable Foundation and volunteers to deliver much-needed medical, mental health, and food support. What followed was a day filled with connection and care, reaching people and families across the local community.

This effort came together through the careful planning and coordination of passionate CHP team members who thoughtfully considered the needs of both the community and the volunteers supporting them. Their preparation and commitment exemplify the huge hearts that drive action at CHP, making it possible to create as big of an impact as possible for the community of Agua Prieta, Sonora.

The impact was profound. More than 160 people received wellness assessments, counseling, prescriptions, and essential vitamins in just one day. Families carried home nearly 1,000 bags of food, enough to prepare an estimated 33,000 meals, and children received shoe vouchers to begin the school year with dignity and confidence.

The smiles, relief, and gratitude we witnessed remind us why this partnership matters so deeply. Rancho Feliz has the local infrastructure to follow up after the initial health assessments or counseling sessions, ensuring the impact wasn't limited to this single moment. By combining immediate support with lasting connection, the work contributes to stability—helping families move toward well-being that endures.
